- 25,000 to 80,000 words: $3.50/1000 words
- Over 80,000 words: $3.00/1000 words
RATES FOR FICTION (extensive or substantial Copy Editing)
- Up to 25,000 words: $5.00/1000 words
- 25,000 to 80,000 words: $4.00/1000 words
- Over 80,000 words: $3.50/1000 words
RATES FOR NONFICTION (light to moderate Copy Editing)
- Up to 25,000 words: $5.50/1000 words
- 25,000 to 80,000 words: $4.50/1000 words
- Over 80,000 words: $4.00/1000 words
RATES FOR NONFICTION (extensive or substantial Copy Editing)
- Up to 25,000 words: $6.00/1000 words
- 25,000 to 80,000 words: $5.00/1000 words
- Over 80,000 words: $4.50/1000 words
The Copy Editor reserves the right to charge more for manuscripts involving extensive rewriting or research.
General Payment Terms: There will be a $25 minimum charge, due at the signing of the contract. Upon completion of the project and delivery of the project by the Copy Editor to the Client, 20% of the total fee is due. The remainder of the fee is due within 30 days of delivery, unless other arrangements have been previously made. Any payments made after the 30 days may be subject to monthly interest.
